LowKey Concert w/ akaMatisse + friends

Experience Matisse's LowKey: where classical piano meets electronic beats. A genre-defying night of intimate musical fusion at Culture DC.David Matisse, professionally known as akaMatisse and celebrated member of the Juno Award-winning electronic group Keys N Krates, is set to bring his LowKey Concert Series to Washington, D.C. From 8 PM to midnight on Thursday, October 24, Matisse will transform Culture into a modern-day piano bar. The LowKey Concert Series features intimate pop-ups blending classical piano, soulful vocals, and mellow beats with strings and horns. Inspired by composers like Hans Zimmer, Matisse's classical training and diverse background informs this innovative platform, subverting audience expectations and reimagining classical music for a new era. "Our goal with LowKey is to create a space where the elegance of traditional piano meshes seamlessly with contemporary electronic sounds," says Matisse. "It's a musical journey that bridges generations and genres, offering something truly unique in today's music scene." As one-third of Keys N Krates, the Toronto-based composer and producer has firmly established himself in electronic music, collaborating with the likes of Tory Lanez, Diplo, and Steve Aoki. Now, with the LowKey Concert Series, he's pushing boundaries even further with head-turning music that appeals to classical aficionados and electronic music fans alike.
